PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a false-twisting method intended to prevent synthetic fibers from running out through controlling the heat treatment of a bulky yarn. SOLUTION: This false-twisting method comprises the following procedure: a false-twisted filament yarn Y is first heat-set under heating with a primary heater 6 to afford a bulk yarn Y1, which, in turn, is heated at relatively low temperatures with the respective heater sections 14, 15 of a secondary heater 7 and subsequently heated at relatively high temperatures to carry out a heat treatment.
