PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a direct-writing recorder in which the hole of an insulating substrate is prevented from clogging. SOLUTION: The direct-writing recorder comprises a recording roller 30 holding charged toners, a back face electrode 44 disposed oppositely to the recording roller in order to attract the toner particles, a substrate 50 made of an insulating material having a plurality of holes 56 for passing the toner particles and disposed between the recording roller 30 and the back face electrode 44, a first electrode 58a arranged on the substrate 50 closely to the hole 56 in order to attract toner particles held on the recording roller 30 by applying a specified voltage further powerfully toward the back face electrode 44, and a second electrode 58b arranged on the substrate 50 closely to the hole 56 on the back face electrode 44 side with respect to the first electrode 58a in order to converge a collection of toner particles passing through the hole 56 with electric repelling force by applying a specified voltage. A field for moving the toner particles in the hole 56 to the back face electrode 44 side is formed between the first and second electrode 58a, 58b at the time of nonrecording.
