PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for rooting a tree shoot, applicable to agriculture, forestry, or the like, capable of efficiently rooting a tree shoot obtained by tissue culture and reducing a cost by culturing a shoot while irradiating the shoot with a blue light having a peak wavelength in a fixed range at light intensity of a given value or larger than it. SOLUTION: A shoot such as a shoot obtained from a tree belonging to the genus Eucalyptus is cultured while irradiating it with a blue light having a peak wavelength of 450-470 nm at >=15μmol/m2/s and the tree shoot obtained by the tissue culture is rooted. Preferably, the blue light is obtained from a blue light LED(light emitting diode) for emitting monochromatic rays having an extremely narrow wavelength range.
