PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable bottle holder which can be easily attached to a PET bottle for carrying. SOLUTION: The portable bottle holder includes a string 1 for carrying and holding a bottle and a locking device 2 for permitting both sides of a loop 1a of the string 1 to pass through to be locked wherein while the loop 1a is wound around a neck of the bottle, the locking device 2 is slid toward the loop 1a, whereby the loop 1a of the string 1 is locked and fixed to the neck or a cap put over it. The locking device 2 comprises a metallic wire equipped with a circular locking part 2a for permitting both sides of the string to pass through on both sides of a contact part 2b which has been formed to be curved along the neck, and it is formed by bending a wire.
