PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper conveying device capable of preventing generation of variance in pressurizing force between rollers. SOLUTION: This conveying device 1 conveys paper between a register roller 3 at which driving force from a driving source is transmitted, and a pressurizing roller 5 coming into peripheral contact with the register roller 3. The register roller 3 includes the first gear 19 on its one end side, and the pressurizing roller 5 includes the second gear 29 engaging with the first gear 19, the first coil spring 33 energizing one end side of the pressurizing roller 5 toward the register roller 3, and the second coil spring 37 energizing the other end side of the pressurizing roller 5 toward the register roller 3. The energizing force of the first coil spring 33 is set larger than the energizing force of the second coil spring 37.
