PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve working efficiency by facilitating tool exchange at the time of tool breakage and to improve ultrasonic driving efficiency against a tool. SOLUTION: A head device for ultrasonic machining is constituted by furnishing a horn 1, a holder 2, a tool 3 and a stud 4. The horn 1 and the holder 2 are connected and fixed by screw fastening work by the stud 4, and the holder 2 and the tool 3 are also connected and fixed in the same way by the screw fastening work by the stud 4. Consequently, the horn 1 and the tool 3 are integrally structured by the holder 2 and the stud 4 and are constituted as the head device for ultrasonic machining. In the case when the tool 3 is broken at a P point and a part of a Q point of a fixing screw part 8 remains in the inside of the holder 2, it is possible to remove this remaining part from the holder 2 by removing the holder 2 from the horn 1. Additionally, in the case when it is impossible to remove the part of the Q point, it is possible to cope with it as exchange treatment by reusing the horn 1 by exchanging the holder 2 in accordance with the tool 3.
