PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rice boiling sheet capable of providing delicious boiled rice only by adding the sheet, unwashed rice and water to a rice cooker and boiling rice and preventing an environmental pollution caused by the water in which rice and other foods have been washed by scrubbing due to omission of a rice washing process by forming the sheet from a nonwoven fabric having a specific average distance between fibers and a prescribed density. SOLUTION: This rice boiling sheet comprises a nonwoven fabric having 1-250 μm average distance between fibers and 0.01-0.10 g/cm3 density. The thickness of the objective product is preferably 0.5-10 mm. The weight of the nonwoven fabric is preferably 50-400 g/m2. The nonwoven fabric comprises preferably a hydrophilic fiber and a hydrophobic fiber. A combination of a polypropylene fiber/rayon fiber may be cited as the combination. The nonwoven fabric is preferably a binder-free nonwoven fabric obtained by a water flow interlacement treatment, etc. For example, a rice boiling sheet of a multilayer structure composed of mix spinning of the hydrophilic fiber and/or hydrophobic fiber is preferable as the shape of the product. |
