PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid drink capable of being easily taken without losing the physiological actions of carrageenan, such as a constipation-improving action and an anti-hyperglycemic action, and the physiological actions of ascorbic acid, such as an antioxidative action, by adding the carrageenan and the ascorbic acid in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This liquid drink contains (A) carrageenan in an amount of 0.1-5 w/v%, preferably 0.5-1 w/v%, and (B) ascorbic in an amount of >=0.1 wt. time, preferably 0.1-1 wt. time, that of the component A. The component A is preferably the type or λ type carrageenan from the points of physiological actions, easy intate, etc., and preferably has a viscosity of 10×10-3 to 0.5 Pa.a in a concentration of 1% at 25 deg.C, and the drink preferably has pH 2.5-5.5, and a viscosity of 5×10-3 to 0.1 Pa.s at 25 deg.C. The drink is preferably obtained by mixing and stirring the components A, B and other components in 10-70 deg.C water. After the components are mixed, the obtained drink may be thermally sterilized. The thermal sterilization is preferably carried out at 60-80 deg.C for 0.1-15 min. |
