PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make closed or open state holding force adjustable in the case of holding a sliding door into the closed or open state. SOLUTION: An opening part of a building frame is provided with an upper frame 3 and a lower frame, and a sliding door 5 is made to travel between guide grooves 3a, 4a (unillustrated) formed at the upper frame 3 and the lower frame. A stopper 6 formed of elastic material and provided with a locking part 6a formed is provided in the guide groove 3a of the upper frame 3. An upper side member of the sliding door 5 is provided with an abutting protruding rod 9 engaged with the stopper 6 when the sliding door 5 is put in the closed or open position, so as to impede the movement of the sliding door 5 from the closed or open position. The protruding height H of the contact protruding rod 9 is changeable.
