PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating preparation device capable of preparing a coating in high accuracy, because conventional coating preparation works have been carried out by the manual works of workers in many cases, thereby having allowed to strengthen an expectation for automation, and because a slight error on the preparation of the coating largely affects the color of the prepared coating in many cases, and further capable of improving work environments in work places using solvents in large amounts. SOLUTION: This device for preparing a coating is provided with a preparation vessel 25 into which plural coatings are charged, a measurement device 50 for measuring the weight of the preparation vessel 25, plural nozzles 10a...17a for charging the coatings into the preparation vessel 25, and a support member 33 for supporting the plural nozzles 10a...17a. The support member 33 has a liquid surface detection sensor 47 for detecting the position of the liquid surface of the coatings charged into the preparation vessel 25, and further has a lifting or lowering device 28 for lifting the support member in response to the rise in the liquid surface of the coatings charged from the plural nozzles 10a...17a.
