PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifouling coating composition capable of being preserved for a long period and holding an antifouling performance over a long period in sea water, after formed into a coating film. SOLUTION: This antifouling coating composition contains (A) a non-aqueous dispersion resin, (B) a metal-containing antifouling agent, and (C) the metal soap of a monobasic acid containing a carboxyl group, as components. The non-aqueous dispersion resin A is dispersed in a hydrocarbon-based solvent, has an acid value of 20-400, and comprises a hydrophilic core component having acid groups and a hydrophobic film component not having acid groups. The acid groups in the non-aqueous dispersion resin A and the metal in the metal soap C are desirably contained in an equivalent ratio of 1:0.1 to 1:3.0.
