PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain design fabric having resistance such as fastness to washing, etc., elegance and sufficient luster. SOLUTION: This design fabric is characteristically constituted of a layer having a pattern or a design of arbitrary shape composed of a composition containing at least brilliant powder on the surface of the fabric and a transparent resin layer formed on the layer. The design fabric is produced by forming the pattern or the design of arbitrary shape from the composition containing at least brilliant powder on the surface of a fabric, transferring the transparent resin layer to the formed pattern layer by using a transparent foil comprising the transparent resin layer as a transfer layer to form the transparent resin layer by the transparent foil only on the pattern layer.
