PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effect the efficient welding without leaving any crater on a welded part while preventing other parts than a welded part of base metals from being damaged in welding two base metals. SOLUTION: Parts to be welded of two plate-like base metals are opposite to each other, end tabs 8a, 8b are provided outward of each base metal end in contact with a surface not to be welded. A slit 8c and a small hole 8d are provided in two end tabs 8a, 8b. The base metals are continuously welded from the parts to be welded to the end tabs 8a, 8b so that craters are formed in the end tabs 8a, 8b. Unnecessary members are cut off from the welded base metals by cutting a part between the small holes 8d provided in the end tabs 8a, 8b along a cut line after the welding.
