PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently purify water to be treated and to effectively utilize oxygen formed by the reduction of ozone. SOLUTION: The treatment using this equipment comprises: mixing ozone 7 with water 17 to be treated and purified, by a gas-liquid supply means 22, to obtain ozone-containing water and to supply the ozone-containing water to a primary purification tank 41; purifying the water 17 to be treated, in the presence of high concn. ozone 7, in the primary purification tank 41; transferring oxygen 5 formed by the reduction of ozone 7, due to this purification of the water 17 to be treated, from the inside of the primary purification tank 41 to an ozone generation means 21 through an oxygen recovery line 23, to effectively utilize the oxygen 5; further, transferring treated water 35 purified in the primary purification tank 41 to secondary purification tank 42 through a treated water transfer line 43; and reducing excess unreacted ozone 7 released from the treated water 35 under the atmospheric pressure to oxygen 5 by using an ozone removal device 44.
