PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mowing device for a paddy field work machine, capable of constituting a mower which can largely reduce labors required for mowing works targeting levees and farm roads connected to paddy fields in which rice seeds are sowed or in which rice seedlings are transplanted. SOLUTION: This mowing device for a paddy field work machine is provided with a connection frame 41 capable of being attached to a hitch B, a lifting or lowering arm mechanism 42 capable of being extended from the connection frame 41, and a mowing mechanism 43 attached to the tip of the lifting or lowering arm mechanism 42. The connection frame 41 is fixed and supported in a prescribed height by the use of a connection member 49 erected between a travel frame 1 and the connection frame 41. The mowing device for a paddy field work machine can be attached to the paddy field work machine. The paddy field work machine has a lifting or lowering link mechanism 2 capable of being vertically swung by the operation of a lift cylinder 2C in the rear portion of the travel frame 1. The work device A is detachably connected to the rear end of the lifting or lowering link mechanism 2 through the hitch B. The lift cylinder 2C is provided with a suspension mechanism 2a.
