An electrical connector (10) is coupled in parallel to an electrical object The connector comprises an electrode gap which normally is electrically insulating. The connector is adapted to establish an electrical connection over the object when an abnormal condition occurs. The connector forms an electric closing device comprising components to cause the electrode gap to become electrically conductive by triggering energy supply to the gap to form a plasma in the gap. |
