The invention relates to an adapter coupling for connecting a hose or such like to a tap. Said coupling comprises a coupling sleeve (2) which serves to connect the hose to the tap, has a connecting piece (3) for the hose and in its interior (7) is able to receive the water-dispensing end (4) of the water outlet (5) of the tap, as well as a sealing ring (11) which in the proximity of the free, tap-side edge (8) of the coupling sleeve (2) contacts said coupling sleeve (2) on the inside in a sealing manner and has an annular base part (12) from whose internal area an elastic sealing cup (16), which points approximately in the direction of insertion (6) and is tapered towards the centre, extends into the interior of the coupling sleeve (7). At its free edge (19) said sealing cup forms an opening (40) through which the end (4) of the tap outlet (5) is inserted so that the sealing cup (16) is expanded during insertion of the water outlet (5) and after the water-dispensing end (4) has been fully introduced contacts the outer surface of the water outlet (5) in a sealing manner. |
