The present invention relates to Paclitaxel analogs like 2", 3" side chain halogenated cephalomannines specifically 2", 3" -dihalocephalomannine and 2",3"dihalo-7-epicephalomannine. These have the following formula 1 where R is selected from Figures 1a-1d X is halogen. These compounds are used for treating tumors, also claimed is the process for preparing these.
