According to the proposal, the PTFE-shell is held in a lathe for machining, with the cutting tool holder at 20 degrees, using a square section cutting tool formed as semi-circles on both sides. The O-ring insert is tool (9). It is treated for 1 hour at 200 degrees, then cooled at the rate of 50 degrees/hour. The ends of the cover are fixed to the O-ring insert using a two-part epoxy resin. Typically, the two-part heat treatment tool is formed with a cavity (12) sized to accept the teflon-covered O-ring. |
