A tapping joint for an electric cable (7) having at least two insulated conductors (1-4) enclosed in an outer covering (5, 6, 7) comprises at least two annular conductive members each encircling the cable, insulated from each other and from any conductive member (15) comprised in the outer covering (5, 6, 7) of the cable and each connected to a respective insulated conductor (1-4) of the cable by connecting means (16) extending through a respective aperture (13) in the outer covering (5, 6, 7) of the cable. External connections can then be made at any convenient place round the circumference of the ring (15). The annular conductive members (15) may be in clock-spring form. |
