PURPOSE:To improve the compressive permanent distortion and the cold resistance by forming a hollow seal with a silicon compound made mainly of polyalkylalkenylsiloxane, in a weather strip for automobile. CONSTITUTION:A weather strip is composed by combining a hollow seal 20 and a lip 30 integrally to a base 10, and at least the hollow seal 20 is formed of a silicon compound making polyalkylalkenylsiloxane as the main component, and mixing silicon dioxide, a metal compound, and the like. And the whole body of the weather strip is formed of a silicon sponge or a silicon solid of of this composition. Or, a silicon sponge may be used for the hollow seal 20, and an EPDM sponge or liquid may be used for the base 10. Furthermore, the surface may be covered by the silicon compound mainly of the polyalkylalkenylsiloxane. |
