PURPOSE:To obtain a sharply enlarged pattern without the occurrence of a variation in line widths of the enlarged pattern. CONSTITUTION:A pattern extracting part 2 issues a reference dot pattern transmitted from a reference dot pattern generation part 1 dividedly into a space detection part 3, a pattern OR part 4, and a doubling part 6 in accordance with an enlarging ratio. The space detection part 3 detects a space part of a dot part transmitted from the pattern extracting part 2, thereafter issuing dots of a value in accordance with the detection result to a pattern AND part 5. In the pattern AND part 5, the dots from the space detection part 3 is ANDed with the ORed result from the pattern OR part 4, and the result is issued to a pattern synthesizing part 7. The pattern synthesizing part 7 synthesizes the dot part from the pattern extracting part 2, the ANDed result from the pattern AND part 5, and the dot part from the doubling part 6 with each other, thereafter issuing the result as an enlarged pattern. |
