Benzamidine derivatives substituted by amino acid and hydroxy acid derivatives and their use as anti-coagulants

The application is directed to benzamidine derivatives substituted by amino acid and hydroxy acid derivatives, which are useful as anti-coagulants, where: A is C(R8) or N; Z1 and Z2 each are O, N(R13), S or OCH2 ; and the other moieties are as defined in the specification. Also included are pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds, and methods of using the compounds to treat disease-states characterized by thrombotic activity.
