A portable golf club stand is described which allows a golfer to carry several golf clubs to his or her ball in a manner which does not require the golfer to lay down an unused golf club when playing a shot with a different club. The portable golf club stand is lightweight, easy to handle and slidingly engageable with a portion of a golf club bag. The portable golf club stand holds a plurality of golf clubs and is capable of being employed in connection with a golf club bag. The stand has a support bracket having upper and lower surfaces. The support bracket has a plurality of apertures extending therebetween and lying in generally the same plane. The apertures are individually sized and dimensioned for accommodating a reservoir. The reservoirs are individually sized for seating the shaft of a golf club. The apertures are spaced apart from each other in the plane so as to separate said golf club heads from one another when the golf clubs are loaded within the reservoirs. The golf stand further has a support stand having a lower ground engaging end and an upper end in operative association with the support bracket. The lower ground engaging end supports the reservoirs in a selected orientation to place the golf clubs in a generally upright position when the lower end of the support stand engages the ground. |
