The container (1) is closed by a pivoted cover (2), which is opened to allow insertion of soiled or contaminated material via an electric operating drive, controlled by a proximity sensor (50). The latter is positioned in the cover opening area and controls an electric motor, actuating a pivot lever for opening the cover, via a control cable. The pivot lever swings into a rest position under the weight of the cover, with the wound control cable rolled off onto a roller mounted on the axis of the electric motor, for closure of the cover. |
