FUNCTIONAL CERAMIC COMPRISING CORAL AND ZEOLITE USED FOR PRODUCING REDUCED WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a reducing functional ceramic used for filtering service water or river water and capable of reducing bacteria in drinking water, residual agrochemicals in vegetables, etc. SOLUTION: A granulation method comprising allowing the surfaces of nuclei to adsorb calcium oxide powder such as coral ceramic in a layer-like state is adopted. The nuclei comprise particulate ceramic molded products which have an arbitrary shape such as a sphere and comprise a powdery material such as zeolite deoxidized in an inert gas atmosphere. The ceramic molded products obtained by the granulation method is thermally calcined to improve the durability of the ceramic molded product on its employment.
