PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To image the latitude of design by making a lens cap simple constitution. SOLUTION: This lens cap 10 is composed of a first main body 1 and a second main body 11 having screw parts screwed on a filter screw of a lens barrel and a pair of coil springs 21, 21. When a projecting part 13 of the second main body 11 is inserted into the fitting part 3 of the first main body 1 through the coil springs 21, 21, after positioning pawls 13a, 13a provided in the both side surfaces of the projecting part are pushed by the both sidewalls of the fitting part 3 and are inserted while deflecting inward, are restored by self- elasticity and restrained by positioning parts 3c, 3c to be prevented from falling off. When the first and second main bodies 1 and 11 are pushed to the front surface of the lens barrel, to be released, while being pressed in the directions where the first and second main bodies 1 and 11 approach each other against the energizing force of the coil springs 21, 21, the respective screw parts are screwed on the filter screw and fitted.
