摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an information recording medium which is capable of more efficiently and stably executing not only recording of information but holding or erasing of the recorded information by providing this medium with a photoconductive layer having a conductive substrate and a photoreceptor layer independently from a recording layer having a liquid crystal high polymer composite layer and transparent electrodes. SOLUTION: This information recording medium has the liquid crystal high polymer composite layer formed by dispersing liquid crystals into at least at a high-polymer compd., the recording layer consisting of the transparent electrodes included in the lower part of this liquid crystal high polymer composite layer and the photoconductive layer having the conductive substrate and photoreceptor layer included independently from the recording layer. The liquid crystal high polymer composite layer preferably includes the nematic liquid crystals responding with the states respectively different to the voltage impression of different frequencies. The recording layer and the photoconductive layer are independently used in the method for erasing the recording of the information using the high-polymer dispersion type liquid crystals and, therefore, the constitutoin of the recording layer itself is relatively simpler and, consequently, the manufacture of, for example, the recording layer which is thin and light in eight and has the resistance and restitutive force to such deformation manipulation as bending is made possible.
