PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a camera compact while securing the strength of a mirror box by arranging at least one part of a driving member driving a light shielding member in a dead space formed on the outside of the reflection surface of an optical device. SOLUTION: This optical device 13 forming a finder image of a single lens reflex camera is provided with a reflection surface 13b obliquely formed so that its upper part projects to the front of the camera than its lower part and is brought in contact with the base of the device 13 and guides the finder image to an ocular part. Then, a classic image plane switching lever 3 is arranged in a space formed between the surface 13b obliquely arranged and a camera cover 19 and a panoramic image plane switching lever is also arranged in the space. A switching driving lever 4 driving the panoramic image plane switching lever and the lever 3 is also arranged in a space continuous to the space under the surface 13b, that is, formed between the surface 13b and the cover 19. This space is a dead space and the dead space is effectively utilized.
