PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removing method for a ferroalloy oxide film capable of efficiently removing a sponge-like layer formed after an oxide film on the surface of a ferroalloy is peeled by a sulfuric acid solution and capable of making the effective decontamination of the ferroalloy having the oxide film contaminated with radioactive materials. SOLUTION: A ferroalloy having an oxide film contaminated with radioactive materials on the surface is dipped in a sulfuric acid solution to peel off the oxide film, then ultrasonic vibrations are applied in a liquid not dissolving the ferroalloy. A sponge-like layer formed on the surface of the ferroalloy after the oxide film is peeled off can be removed, cross-contamination caused by the sponge-like layer can be prevented, and effective decontamination can be made.
