PURPOSE: A portable radio telephone provides a means which can receive or transmit a facsimile while the user move without a computer, a printer, a scanner, or other commercial device. CONSTITUTION: A portable radio telephone comprises a radio unit(2) which can receive and provide analog signals and digital data on two sides, a correction unit(3), a data processing unit (100), input means(14), a control unit(7). The data processing unit(100) includes a rate adaptor(8) and a fax adaptor(9), the telephone includes a memory(11,16) for saving the fax data, and the control unit (7) arranges to control two radio functions of the fax data, i.e., at least one of transmitting and receiving. A transcoding means(10) to compress and decompress the fax data is related to memory for saving a plurality of fax data, and a means for selecting the saved fax data is combined to the control unit(100) and is able to process this selecting data.
