An apparatus for the needling of a nonwoven 1 is described, with at least one needle board 3 capable of being driven back and forth in the pricking direction and with a stationary stitch base 2 located opposite the needle board 3 and curved convexly in the nonwoven run- through direction 6. In order to provide advantageous needling conditions, it is proposed that the nonwoven 1 be guided between the stitch base 2 and a pliably soft material web 10 which is capable of being pierced by the needle tips and is held under tensile stress in the nonwoven run-through direction 6 and which is stretched over the stitch base 2. <IMAGE> |
