PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery, having a compact battery circuit cut-off mechanism in which electrical continuity between a power generating element body and an electrode terminal is stabilized in a normal state. SOLUTION: While a power generating element body 1 and an electrode terminal are in an electrically mutually continuous conductive state through a sealing plate (for example a rupture plate) 10 formed from conductive material, a conductive frame 7, and a welding portion for keeping a battery lid 5 airtight from pressure in a battery in a normal state, deformation of the sealing plate due to rising of inner pressure of the battery relatively deforms the electrode terminal and the conductive frame to break the welding portion to cut off the electrical continuities. Consequeutly, since a battery circuit cut-off mechanism is compact, and the battery circuit cut-off mechanism and a pressure release mechanism can be installed simultaneously in various sealed batteries, including a small square battery. |
