PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enforcing communication between a mobile station and a mobile telephone network. SOLUTION: When an accumulated time not available of paging by a network for a mobile station 4a exceeds a predetermined time in a cellular mobile telephone system, the mobile station 4a is enforced to execute update of position. This period is dynamically set by sending timer setting information through a multiple address communication control channel.
