PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the emission failure and radiation failure while preventing the adhesion of the volatile organic gas of the adhesive agent to a board at the time of heating for airtight sealing by arranging an airtight sealing adhesive agent in a peripheral edge support frame of a front plate and a back plate, and bonding both the plates after burning the adhesive agent. SOLUTION: A back plate 2 loaded with an electron emitting element group 4 and a front plate 1 loaded with an image forming member 5 are supported by a support frame 3 at a peripheral edge thereof. The support frame 3 is formed by cutting a blue plate glass board into a hollow shape, and the acrylic binder is added to the frit glass powder so as to adjust the frit glass powder at an appropriate viscosity, and in this condition, the frit glass powder is mixed with the organic solvent so as to form the paste-like frit glass mixture, and this airtight sealing adhesive material 6 is arranged in the support frame 3 at parts for abutting with the front plate 1 and the back plate 1.
