PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron gun assembling method and its device in which displacement of rotation angle between a bulb and an electron gun can be measured and detected at intermediate process to the final inspection process in a manufacturing process of a cathode-ray tube, and yield in the manufacture of the cathode-ray tube can be improved comparing with prior arts. SOLUTION: A recognition device 7 measures a standard line of an electron gun 3 after its insertion into a bulb 1 transfers and stores absolute value data in rotation direction into a microcomputer 10, measures a standard line 4 of the electron gun 3 after its sealing, and transfers absolute value data in rotation direction into the microcomputer 10, and a judging means 12 judges non-defective or defective. In addition, by analyzing data stored in the microcomputer 10, adding the analyzed result to a rotation corrective data 11, and correcting it, the defective caused by rotational displacement is prevented from flowing to subsequent processes.
