PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily register reading and accent types of character information in a registration database of a speech synthesis device without complex operation. SOLUTION: This speech synthesis device is provided with a character information input means 12 for inputting character information, an accent changing means 10 for storing a predetermined accent rule and changing an accent type to character information inputted by the character information input means 12 according to the accent rule, and a speech synthesis means for converting the character information into speech according to the accent type changed by the accent changing means 10. And, the accent changing means 10 sequentially changes the accent types according to the accent rule by pushing a 1st button (corresponding to the button with an asterisk (*) in this embodiment). |
