PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup for recording/reproducing a high density MiniDisk enhancing coupling efficiency without increasing cross talk, and an optical disk device. SOLUTION: The optical pickup 20 contains a light source 21 emitting a light beam of a short wavelength, a collimate lens 22 converting the light beam emitted from the light source 21 to parallel beams, a light condensing means 25 condensing the parallel beams from the collimator lens 22 on a signal recording surface of a high density recording optical disk, a light split means 24 arranged between the light source 21 and the light condensing means 25 and a photodetector 28 having a light receiving part receiving a return light beam splitted by the light split means 24 from the signal recording surface of the optical disk, and an A/W related to the radial direction of the optical disk is set to 1.1 to 1.35, and the NA of the light condensing means is set to 0.55 to 0.6. |
