PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the detection of a substance by immunological reaction superior in specificity and sensitivity by detecting the substance with antigenicity through the use of an antibody specific to an antigen-antibody complex. SOLUTION: An anti-antigen-antibody complex antibody specifically reacts with an antigen-antibody complex antibody and slightly reacts or does not react at all with a substance with antigenicity, an antibody to the substance, or the ligand of the substance if it exists. It is possible to use the anti-antigen- antibody complex antibody with such specificity in reaction for non-competitive methods such as immunoradiometric assay(IRMA), sandwich ELISA using a plurality of antibodies with different bonding sections. By this, it is possible to detect or measure the substance with antigenicity, specially an environmental pollutant. It is possible to create a reagent or a kit for detection or measurement through the use of the anti-antigen-antibody complex antibody.
