The heater is in a glass-ceramic plate hob. The heating element is located in an air chamber (5) above an insulating bottom with insulating annular edge (3) of a pot (1), fitted with the safety temperature limiter in the form of a bimetal switch component (8). In its housing or base plate (10), secured to the pot, is fitted a bimetal element at the side facing the air chamber. At the annular edge is an aperture (20), through which the bimetal element is thermally coupled to the air chamber directly, or indirectly. Preferably, current terminals of a switching contact of the bimetal switch component lie outside of the pot. |
