PURPOSE: An air freshener dispenser device is provided in the form of a semi-rigid thermoplastic strip having a plurality of apertures serving as a reservoir for a volatile air freshener ingredient. Partial or complete removal of one or both peelable vapor impermeable membranes allows delivery of the air freshener ingredient as vapor into the environment at a controlled rate over an extended time period. CONSTITUTION: The air freshener dispenser device comprises:(a) a thin semi-rigid strip(14) having a central area of flat surfaces covered with a coextensive laminate of an inner vapor permeable membrane(16) and an outer peelable vapor impermeable membrane(18), the strip(14) having at least one aperture(12) between the two laminate films; (b) a thin film positioned on the flat surface of the strip(14), the thin film covering the perforated center of the strip(14) to form a storage container; (c) a volatile air freshener component contained in the storage container; (d) a thin feelable impermeable membrane(18) of the same length of the permeable membrane(16) for preventing volatilization of the air freshener component.
