PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the amount of surface staining small and to obtain uniform solid developing characteristic by constituting an image carrier of a flexible endless member and specifying the range of a friction coefficient. SOLUTION: A photoreceptor belt 1 is laid over supporting rollers 6 and 7. The middle part of the upper side of the belt 1 is supported by a tension roller 3 so that the belt 1 may be properly tensioned and adjusted. In such a case, the photoreceptor belt made of organic material is used as the belt 1, and the friction coefficient μ of the surface of the belt 1 maintains the range of 0.1 to 0.4. Then, a developing device 10 made of various members covered with a frame 8 is positioned at the middle part of the lower side of the belt 1. The device 10 is provided with a developing roller 3, a supply roller 4, an agitator 5 and a regulating blade 2. The roller 3 is arranged to abut on the middle part of the lower side of the belt 1. |
