PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device, in which the upper part of an arc tube and a lamp sealing part in a light source lamp and the upper reflecting mirror surface of a concave reflecting mirror can be sufficiently cooled, the lower part of the arc tube is not that much cooled, and its depth is not enlarged. SOLUTION: In a light source device in which a discharge lamp 10 disposed in a horizontal position in a concave reflecting mirror 20 having a front aperture 23 covered by a light transmitting glass 40, and a ventilation member 50 having a cooling air hole 51 is mounted to the front aperture of the concave reflecting mirror, a notch part 25 is formed on the peripheral rim under the front aperture 23 of the concave reflecting mirror 20. The cooling air hole 51 in the ventilation member 50 is positioned at the notch part 25. |
