PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile device which prevents its operation state from being misrecognized while suppressing an increase in power consumption as much as possible. SOLUTION: As the states of the facsimile device, the device is provided with a standby state wherein the device is expecting an incoming, etc., while supplied entirely with the electric power and a power-saving standby state wherein the device is expecting an incoming while the power supply is limited to only necessary parts. In the standby state, the whole device is supplied with the electric power by a main power source 40. In the power-saving standby state, the electric power is supplied by a subordinate power source 34 to only OPE48, etc. Even in the power-saving standby state, a display part 50 makes some display showing the device is in operation, e.g. displays a message showing the power-saving standby state. A liquid crystal display device is used as the display part 50 to suppress even the power consumption low. |
