<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a charge control substrate and a battery charger by providing a charge control substrate fitted with a battery pack having a plurality of air inflow/outflow holes to control an electric charge and a cooling fan, providing a cooling fan on the side of case higher than the charge control substrate, and providing an air intake hole which communicates with the cooling fan with the outside air on the upper case. SOLUTION: This battery charger 1 is constituted of an upper case 3, a lower case 4, a charge control board 5, a cooling fan 6 and a shielding cover 7. The upper case 3 is provided with a battery pack insertion hole 10 and a storage section 11 formed with shielding walls 3a for storing the cooling fan 6, and the storage section 11 is provided with an air intake hole 8 which causes the cooling fan 6 to communicate with the outside air and an air discharge hole 9 which is capable of being communicated with the air inflow hole 14 of a battery pack 2. The shielding cover 7 which isolate the cooling fan 6 and the charge control board 5 is provided below the storage section 11 so as to prevent the heat generated by the charge control board 5 from being discharged into the battery pack 2 by the cooling fan 6.</p> |
