<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a take-up method of a pipe-compounded power cable wherein the compounding plastic pipes into power-cable conductors can be prevented from escaping from the strand gaps of the power-cable conductors, by selecting properly the strand pitch of the power-cable conductors and the barrel-diameter of a take-up drum. SOLUTION: In this method, there is performed the take-up operation of a pipe- compounded power cable obtained by providing plastic pipes 2 in the strand grooves formed by stranding three power-cable conductors 1. In this case, the strand pitch for stranding thereat the power-cable conductors 1 and the barrel-diameter of a take-up drum are so selected that D' given by the equation D>D'=X+Dp+(dp/2) where X represents the looseness of the one-pitch portion of the stranding of the power-cable conductors 1 which is generated when bending them, and Dp represents the core- diameter of a layer formed out of the compounding pipes 2, and dp represents the outer diameter of the compounding pipe 2.} does not exceed a major diameter D of the ellipse of an elliptic spiral obtained when approximating it to the loosening shape depicted by the compounding pipes 2 into the power-cable conductors 1 which is generated in the case of bending the power cable by winding them around the take-up drum.</p> |
