PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make interfaces between switches and between nodes reducible when switching circuits are subjected to multistage connection and to improve the path use efficiency. SOLUTION: A network is configured by connecting plural communication sources and plural communication destinations with a switch means that consists of switch circuits 101 that are subjected to multistage connection. Each switch circuit 101 has plural crossbar switches 102 to 107 which are controlled by output path selection information D 155 to 158 of a path selection information register 112. A pair of bidirectional buffers 129 and 130 are connected to both sides of the switches 106 and 107 through synchronizing circuits 113 to 120 and latches 121 to 128 in a respectively opposite way. The buffers 129 and 130 are switched to be in an output state or an input state and are controlled.
