PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distinguish a defective pixel and a normal pixel from signal levels when reading the signals of pixels. SOLUTION: Concerning a solid-state imaging device 100 having plural pixels that is provided with optic/electric converting functions and an operating means for providing a video signal by selecting plural pixels at least, a fuse 103 is integrally built in for storing the defect information of a pixel while relating it to that pixel, when the relevant pixel has a defect. Thus, since the defective pixel and normal pixel can be distinguished from signal levels at the time of reading the signals of pixels, it is not necessary to generate a flaw correcting pulse through a conventional timing generator and no noise is mixed into the video signal. Further, since the imaging device itself is provided with a memory function, even in the case of an image pickup device which requires the exchange of the imaging device, it is enough that only the imaging device is exchanged.
