OPTICAL MODULE AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module which can easily connect an optical fiber and a surface light emission laser to each other. SOLUTION: The optical module 10 is equipped with a surface light emission laser 12 and optical fiber 14. The surface light emission laser 12 and optical fiber 14 are optically coupled with each other. The light 18 emitted by the surface light emission laser 12 is made incident on the core 20 of the optical fiber 14. The end part of the optical fiber 14 and the surface light emission laser 12 are connected by a transparent connection member 16.
