PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card connector which is low in height, is easy to deal with standard mounting and reverse mounting, and has a simple structure and of which a standoff is variable. SOLUTION: A frame part 2 is constituted of a pair of guide frames 3, made of a synthetic resin and a metal bridge 4 for connecting one end of one of one guide frames to that of the other guide frame by way of itself in a generally U-shaped form. A lever 5 and a plate 6, which serve as a part of an ejection mechanism to eject an IC card are built into the bridge. When an ejection button 8 slidably mounted to one of the guide frames is slid, the plate is slid by the rotation of the lever, so that the IC card is ejected. In order to prevent the insertion of the IC card in an upside-down form, a thin polarity key 3A is formed on one of the guide frames, while a thick polarity key is formed on the other guide frame, and both the guide frames are symmetrical except for the parts of polarity keys, so that the left one can be replaced with a right side one and vice versa.
